The Alfred Steele Engineering Scholarship

This scholarship is named in honor of Alfred Steele, P.E., a long time member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers, and a visionary and pioneer in advocating education and professional development for plumbing engineers and designers.

Central Florida Chapter Scholarships

Jim Black Memorial Scholarship

TRIBUTE. In 1984 the Central Florida ASPE Chapter dedicated funds to establish an endowment for Valencia Community College to provide annual scholarship assistance to students pursuing a career in plumbing design. The Central Florida ASPE Chapter was chartered in 1983 and Jim Black was a tireless and dedicated promoter of the Central Florida ASPE Chapter and the Chapter's continuing support of the process of education.

Lloyd Brown Scholarship

TRIBUTE. In 1998 the Central Florida ASPE Chapter dedicated funds to establish an endowment for Valencia Community College to provide annual scholarship assistance to students pursuing a career in plumbing design. The Central Florida ASPE Chapter was chartered in 1983 and Lloyd Brown was a tireless and dedicated promoter of the Central Florida ASPE Chapter and the Chapter's continuing support of the process of education. Lloyd Brown is a Charter Member and served as Treasurer, Vice President Legislative, Vice President Technical and President. In 1992 he was selected as "Technician of the Year" during National Engineers Week.

Kendall M. Kalapp Scholarship

TRIBUTE. In 2000 the Central Florida ASPE Chapter dedicated funds to establish an endowment for Valencia Community College to provide annual scholarship assistance to students pursuing a career in plumbing design. The Central Florida ASPE Chapter was chartered in 1983 and as a chapter member, Ken Kalapp became the first Vice President Membership for the Chapter.  He was a tireless and dedicated promoter of the Central Florida ASPE Chapter and the Chapter's continuing support of the education process. In his role as Vice President Membership from 1983 to 1988, he helped to contribute to the  Chapter's growth.  The mission of the Society is the promotion of the interest of plumbing engineers and designers through the development and expansion of their professional and technical expertise to the betterment of the plumbing engineering profession as a whole, to serve as a forum for interchange with related professions, and for the resolution of problems affecting the professions and the practice of plumbing engineers.  The society is dedicated to the advancement of the science of plumbing engineering, to the professional growth and advancement of its members and the health, welfare, and safety of the public.
